thank you all! So I got some better supplies and will work on the ramp this weekend most likely Sunday. I checked the eggs and yep another baby! There’s another egg that has an odd pus coming out from it, doesn’t stink but doesn’t smell great either. Do you guys think it’s bad?

Hey all! My duck just hatched her first duckling. Our set up currently is 5 ducks, the momma duck is in a house connected with a ramp. I’m a tad worried about the other ducks with the duckling. Would it be okay to lock momma and the baby (will be more to hatch) in the house temporarily so the other ducks don’t bother them? Also what’s a great waterer for momma and ducklings

Would love some advice regarding this egg, it’s like a pus coming from it I wonder if i should throw it out?

Actually I just candled it and yeah it wasn’t developed fully, I could see through it now so I threw it out poor baby duck. Two out of three look like they will hatch that are left. One doesn’t look like there is movement inside but I’ll let her sit on it for a few more days

Yes there is three! One more on the way, the egg I didn’t see movement is still under momma but I don’t think it will hatch.

So I have a bit of a mystery. The lighter ones all look similar. The one on the right is a mix of my runner fawn and my Rouen male. The other lighter ones are definitely from my khaki Campbell females. The darker one just hatched. It should also be a khaki Rouen mix. I do have a Cayuga who is older and rescued, never seen her lay an egg or go up into their house. She limps a lot. Is there a chance the darker duckling is a Cayuga mix? I wasn’t planning on keeping them besides the runner mix but if it’s her baby I kinda want to keep it too.
