My personal opinion is that a vet consult would be best, even if it's just a consult.

I'm not sure the "banding" method is best here because of the amount of bone involved and incorrect placement of the band could do mor harm than good. Might be best just to let the dead parts fall off on their own, that or cut them off. Maybe one could star by trimming a toenail short. If no blood, trim more?

Okay.
Letting them fall off normally would certainly be easier on me.... As of now, it's hard to tell where blood flow is stopping, as which parts are warm is still shifting.

I will look that up....

I agree it is best to see a Vet. I am just not sure if she would want to spend lots of Krona on a vet for a duck.

I think the placement would be crucial. as low as possible, and hopefully the skin would grow over the stump. Also it would take lots of dedication to raise a one footed duck, with dressing changes and making artificial feet.

Letting them fall off is best for now, I think, saves making radical decisions.

Whatever Banty does is going to be rough.

I just wish I had went out to the chickens earlier that day, instead of procrastinating. Might have saved me all this trouble. :he
