Duckling Diaries: the Life and Times of a Welshie Trio

Thanks so much for the sweet offer... If it all works out, I'm sure we could figure out a way to get a cast of her leg.

You are quite welcome. So far I have found 3 different projects. One is essentially a peg leg with a foot on it. One is a swim foot with flaps that allow water to pass through the foot when it goes forward, but close and push the water when the foot strokes backward. The third was made for an eagle and is a spring foot similar to what they use for human prosthetics for running. I haven't found a source of the files yet and if I have to, I'm sure I can design a functional one, but it would probably look more like a Playschool duck foot than a real duck foot. That is my goal for my first thing to produce that is useful (after alignment pieces and tests).

You are not, you were deported from the entire continent!  The first time in history the presidents of Mexico, the USA and the Prime Minister of the Northern Wastelands agreed on anything...

I detect a subtle insult to Trudeau there.

Good Shopping??? 310 miles...

Depends on what u qualify as good  could be Boston from me

I live in a vacation town & summers (& certain holidays) here are a nightmare. I know you meant that as a joke, but you can not imagine how rude, messy & overbearing tourists can be. In my old age, Labor day is becoming my favorite holiday, because that's when they all finally go home.

They're in season, choot 'em

How many refrigerators/freezers do you guys have?

Umm 3&3 I think

Banty, I just ordered a 3D printer kit.  Now keep in mind, I don't know ANYTHING about 3D printing yet, but I wanted to tell you so if something doesn't beat me to it, maybe you can come up with a way to get a good cast of Chrisy's leg and maybe how much lift she would need to walk level.  I will be doing as much research as I can.  When I have the knowhow and maybe can find a pattern to modify, I'd print her a foot.  Don't know if that would be a month or a year down the road at this point since I have no experience, but when I can... Don't even have the printer yet but it is on its way...
that is so generous!!!!!!!!

What's not to believe about that?

You can be glad you live in Iceland and not up  there in the vast Northern Wastelands. Did you know they do not even have decent thermometers up there?  They even have Kings and Queens still!  Can you imagine that?

PRIME MINISTER, dear. No kings.

Nearest city with a metro population over 200,000???

Goodness, just what do you guys qualify as good food?
