Sometimes I will have them sit next to me while I am working on something or cruising BYC, and they want to sit on my lap, not beside it!

Yes, I am very unhappy with Ideal. When I ordered, I stated that I didn't want any crested. I ordered 1 Pekin, 2 Cayuga and 2 Blue Swedish. You see what I got. The people at Ideal are the experts they should have known that they were not giving me what I ordered. Out of 5, 3 are crested (not happy!), the Blue Swedish are something, I'm not sure what, and the Pekin is different! She isn't pure white, she has a little cream color in her and she is significantly bigger than my adult Pekins and she's only 8 weeks old, I wonder WHAT she is.
I ordered mine from ideal, first time, all dead ducks. Second time SENDS ME CHICKENS and 2 ducks. (I ordered more than 2 ducks, and one duck was the wrong breed) third time sends me 9 roosters (I asked for heated pads both times) and 2 ducks, with crests. I guess I should be happy that they are all girls! At least they got something right!! I'll keep them but it wasn't a good experience for my first time ordering and getting ducks. My first ducks were given to me by my nephew. Anyone have any idea what the ones that are supposed to be Blue Swedish are? Black Swedish? Splash? What?? This is a picture of one of the black ones, you can see the white patch on her chest. The next picture is of all 5. You can really see their black/white chests and this is the Pekin. You can barely see that she isn't white. The Cayuga are the two crested ones. And the Pekin is crested as well. I can't believe these girls are only 8 weeks old. I picked them up on March 9th they were SUPPOSED to be 1 day old. Maybe that isn't correct as well...who knows! But they are part of our family now. You live and learn!
I think the 2 are Swedish... if I remember correctly the way Ideal's are bred they can come out blue/black/splash... It is. They are so sweet, and just wanna cuddle. They greet me every morning by running to the front of the brooder and peeping!
I sure will. I'm sure that Chrissy will get even more spunky than usual when she hears that she is famous.
It couldn't be anything else- these sweet baby webz have taken over my life!
