Get off my lawn
Yeah, yeah, but talking to y'all doesn't get my house clean....
This is my problem as well.

Yes, if cockfighting were a problem here I'd completely quit selling. I'm already thiiis close due to the idiots on CL.From the moment they hatch and/or begin to show gender, I know that I will be culling extra boys (in some cases all boys), and so I have months to get used to the fact that that's the way it has to be. It's seriously ugly if I wait too long. I never sell them - not that I sell birds anyway, but also, I honestly trust myself to give them a humane end and to only have one bad day, vs. the fear of being moved around, and then the purchaser is likely to either cull him or (worse), use him as training bait for cock fighting.
Didn't mean to stress you out by asking. I was just window shopping in my head between welshies and appleyards. Not that I have either the room or the bandwidth for either, of course...
You know, when BYC was down during the conversion, I got SOOOOOO much done that I had been putting off. I think I need to build in some limits or time out from BYC so I get more done. I am the QUEEN of procrastination.
I'm taking some more vacation time soon primarily to get yard and household stuff done that just isn't getting done otherwise.

Both!! You need both. They look so cute next to each other. Gotta admit, the SAs are cuter as babies, but nothing can beat the adult welshie plumage. Not stressed ---well, too much--- just splaining why my picture crazy self hasn't picked up a camera in a while. Got a ton of pens to build too, and doors need to go up on the goat shed. After that, I need to knock the old coop down and get started on the new one. So maybe a teeny bit overloaded.
I know right. Or laundry done. Or supper made.Yeah, yeah, but talking to y'all doesn't get my house clean....
Lol lurk away I don't mind. The stone is for frogs and for the wild birds to land on to drink. I don't have any fish in there it's just for birds and frogs. LolThanks!!! I have indeed lurked on your call duck thread occasionally. I LOVE your Duck Deck - I would TOTALLY build one of these for my ducks. Love your pond as well - what's with the stone in the middle?
I do hope to have ducks one day (and maybe even geese). But I have 50+ chickens at the moment (kept in 10-11 separate coops), with a couple breeding projects going/planned, and really need to get those numbers back down as it's stretching the limits of my time as well as my space. I'm hoping to consolidate more in a year or two. I really need to be careful about hatching anything else (which is so hard!!!!)
Pure silvers are, yes. I don't think this one is... Possibly more of a pied pattern??Yeah, not to pat myself on the back or be judgmental anything, but I probably take better care of my chickens than many people who have them around here. Just can't stomach passing them on to someone who might keep them in a small cage or something.
I totally lost track of weights for my birds when I was going through trying to get their housing finished, and am also really low on photos. WAY too many new birds this year.
But but but... isn't the plumage of the appleyards and the welshes almost identical (except the silvery accents on the face of the boys)?
Or dreams of a clean house. That would be just as nice.Night night Banty wishing you sweet duck dreams.![]()
I need to clean up chook stuff real bad... But tomorrow's fully scheduled... Wednesday, maybe.
I keep procrastinating because it means cleaning up Chrissy's stuff.
Mine too, as evidenced by how much time I waste on here.
