hi, I've got 3 broody ducks with no drake (they are not good breeds to be mothers so decided not to get a drake). so obviously nothing was gonna happen there, I let them sit for just shy of 4 weeks, before I decided they had earnt some ducklings, I bought 10, day old ducklings to share between them after I removed all the dud eggs they had under them, one attacked them (Indian runner), the other attacked me and ran (khaki Campbell), the last one flew off (black campbell) but kept coming back to check if her eggs had magically came back, and got back in with the chicks. she shows no interest in them, but doesn't harm them, despite them jumping all over her.
my question is, will she potentially accept them overnight? if no can they survive without a mother, or my help ( I work full time)?

Wow......That probably won't work....Ducklings imprint to Mamma in the first 24 hours after hatching...Knew her voice before they hatched...She heard them from the eggs...Yiu need to care for them..Provide a brooder , heat lamp, feed and water....If she does take them I will be surprised!

yes I agree, I have raised 3 day ducklings for a few years not that hard they will get messy before you can get them outside. I just used a good sized clear plastic tote ,Too much fun putting them in the tub for the 1st time, good luck
