Duckling food? Help

Flock raiser doesnt have enough b3. It doesnt even give the exact amount. I add supplements to mine.
Actually, the Flock Raiser niacin content is at least 55 ppm per 2.2 pounds of feed, as stated by a Purina Product Expert. A niacin content of 55 ppm per 2.2 pounds of feed is the recommended amount for newly hatched and growing ducklings.

This is a screenshot from the TSC website. Search ‘Flock Raiser’ in the search tab on the TSC website, click on the item, go under to the QNA section and you will find what you’re looking for. You may also call Purina Mills, their number is on their website for anymore questions you may have.

Bro lol i hope you dont actually consider that factual advise... I know i definitely wont put my ducks legs based on a online post, especially from tsc!!

However i will call them monday and request it in writing, if I can't hold them liable for it in actual writing from a authorized rep then it dont matter.

I will revert back once i contact them.

Can I just get regular B3 and crush it and use that?
Most b3 pills are “time release” and do not work for ducks. They simply can’t metabolize it. Also if you look into buying brewers yeast, see how much niacin is in it. The stuff I bought from Walmart has so little niacin in it that I got rid of it. They would have to eat a ton of it in order for it to help.

Only issue is too much b3 can cause skin irritation (in humans) . anyone know if its the same in poultry?

Brewers yeast is just as much $$ plus more vitiamins
It causes us to be flushed. So your face would be red. I do not know since they have feathers, but they simply need it. It’s essential to their livelihood. But to answer, it definitely doesn’t hurt them in any way. They need a lot more than even we do and they can’t metabolize it as well as us. So it takes quite a bit.
