It is a wood duck, there is only one species that I know of, Aix sponsa. Depending on where you are(USA) it is illegal to keep this duck. If you can find a wildlife rehab contact them, or your local fish and game/wildlife department.

Oh wow! I had no clue! Thank you for letting me know. I am going to contact DNR (that’s all we have around here) and see if they want me to bring him or if they want to come get him (whichever is easier for them). I appreciate you letting me know! Going to be sad to see him go, but I know they’ll be able to make sure he gets a better life for sure.
