Duckling hatch count down :) ~ 1 week to go

5 for 5 great! They are running around in the brooder. Th is is my first 100% hatch

So first of all all 6 ducklings are doing great! Growing and are 4 days old now. Growing like weeds(as always).

So first of all we are taking the ducklings to the vet today to get vent sexed and then I will be able to pick out which ones I want to keep and then the ducklings should be on there way to new family's. So I have decided to keep two of them. I don't know how strange this could be but(mom is still broody) what if I put the two ducks that I am keeping back with mom? How would that work with the other ducks? I really am in the gutters on this one and need some help. I am all good with having them in the brooder but to save the mess and save having to introduce them in the flock....would be awesome!

So second....the 3 eggs that are still under mama turned into 4 eggs. I think she might have laid one and don't know if that is normal for her still being broody. She hasn't been as committed as usual tho so maybe she is breaking. I candled one of the eggs and it looked very dark just like the ducklings that hatched but something just looked weird about it. Maybe like a blood ring? I am going to let her sit maybe like 2-3 more days and then if nothing happens then take the eggs out. What if when I take those eggs out(or if they hatch) I put the two ducklings I am keeping with mama then?

So my main question is would it be okay if I put the ducklings back with mama? What would happen with the other ducks? Would things go smooth? I would love yalls feedback. I know its a lot and I might have screwed this whole thing up! Thanks again!

All ducklings are growing crazy fast!
