Duckling in pain?

Why do my ducklings let out a little screech and then jump? Sometimes they’ll be laying there and I’ll hear a little “yell” and then they hop as if they were poked with a pin. Then they just get comfortable again and go out with their day. Is that normal? Are can they be in pain?

That's just them being alert, the littlest movement between other ducklings and they will jump like they've been poked, nothing to be concerned about.
