Duckling Ruptured Air Sac???

I noticed this morning my two of my ducklings neck were swollen and spongey feeling. When I touched it to see how it felt the one duckling spit up slobbers mixed with food. I have read about ruptured air sacs, and that you can release the air with a needle. Are they ok to stay with the other two or should I keep these two separate? I don't want to try to do anything if it will heal itself but I honestly don't know if this is considered a bad rupture or not. Please help!

It's perfectly normal and a sign that they are eating very well. When they are like this, try not to handle them, or be very careful when you do, because as you already noticed, putting pressure on their crops forces the food and water back up into their mouths, which is where the entrance to the lungs and air sacs are.

If two are dong it it is almost certainly their crops full of food and water, not their air sac, so DO NOT poke with needle and avoid handling them when they look like this because doing so they could aspirate the contents of their crop.

That's their crop...Don't use a needle on them..

No, that's It's crop ..You can provide wet soupy feed also it's easier to digest for Ducklings and don't pick them up right after eating..Keep the dry out but provide wet feed too and water dishes to dunk heads into as they grow..

Possibly two Drake Ducklings that love to eat..Drakes are more outgoing...
