At ideal poultry they sell multiple different breeds that are crested. My understanding is the created gene is dominant but a double dominant is fatal? Not sure if any of the crested are completely pure or if they have bred it into their purebreds to add the novalty of crested. Either way it’s fun and I’m already partial to our black babies.

Yes. There is one crested breed called Crested. They come in black and white. Other breeds can be crested but you cannot show them when they express this trait. Even Calls can have crests.
Even show breeders breed crested to non-crested because it is in fact lethal. But you can only show the ducks with crests. That makes Crested ducks more difficult to breed.

Awwwww.... Do you have a video? I love watching ducklings swim! It's so cute! I just love ducks in general...

Mine don't swim yet, but I watched my adult ducks swim in the fields surrounding my house.
Once a couple of hens teamed up and hatched some ducklings though. Then they followed their mommies through all of the puddles. Unfortunately, no pictures on this device.

Here is another taken a couple of weeks ago of my current ducklings. I realize this one is better.

Here is a picture of white ducklings with Wyandotte and Buckeye chicks being precious.

More ducks from a different generation. (We only got the grey hen recently.)
