Duckling Thread!

Hi and welcome again to BYC :frow

She does look small, but if she's eating and drinking she may catch up. What kind of feed are you using?
Thank you so much. I am feeding a mixture, broiler started crumb and chicken mash, which I moisten. Also feeding meal worms as a treat together with a suet mix (bought like that at the petshop and they love it). I pick grass for them and also give them a little bit of egg food (also bought at the petshop, it is meant for hand rearing birds). I fed the same

mix to their 'mother' when I found her and did not know what she was. We initially thought she was an egyptian goose, but we were clearly very wrong. Mother duck also gave me three chickens raised them with the same food. Although the adult ducks now get pellets, maize, sunflower seed, greens and watermelon is their favorite.

I have two ducklings that hatched a week ago. I received the eggs from a farmer and placed them under my Mallard cross. She looses interest once the chicks are hatched. Only one successfully hatched. One died in the egg and the other almost did not make it. He pipped and then no real progress from there. I managed to save him. He is a cutie, eats well but has not grown much. I was wondering if he is just weak or if has some sort of abnormality. I have attatched a photo of the two.
Cute

Try scrambled egg no salt or pepper. One of my shipped ducklings was on the verge of leaving this world and I have every reason the believe scrambled egg saved her. That an a ton of prayers Her sister too although she wasn't quite as bad. They get one bantam egg scramble and chopped up Yesterday and this morning And I can not tell you the difference it has made. I have one larger than the other too. Cute little ones :love you got there.
