Duckling with Bald Neck?

This duckling hatched a few weeks ago. When he hatched, he had feathers on his neck, but recently he's gone bald from around his beak to the start of his chest. He looks kinda cute like that, actually, almost like a vulture. But is this something I should be worried about? He has no strange behavior or other symptoms. Will he be bald forever, or will he still grow his adult feathers on his neck? Do I have to be extra careful with his temperature because he doesn't have feathers? Thanks!

Could be the breed? I attached a photo I found on the internet. You apparently do get naked neck ducks.

Though you say he had feathers on his neck to begin with. So I'm really not sure. Maybe someone who knows more about ducks could help you out. ;)

It does look very similar to that, but I've never had a breed like that so unless it's some ancestor of my duckling then that's probably not what it is. Aw well, it doesn't seem to be doing any harm to him right now, so it'll probably be okay. It also makes him look cuter haha

Although I read that someone else with a bald duck had to put sunscreen on him when he went outside otherwise he would burn? Winter might take a toll on him too...

He seems to be getting balder and balder, I wouldn't be surprised if he lost all the feathers on his head.
