Duckling with strange leg issues, not spraddle etc

Yes you can give your little one human liquid B complex it will need 3ml daily if you get the one at TSC it will be 1 ml daily its concentrated more than the human if you decide to go with TSC it's in the cattle section and will say injectable but we give it oral to our birds. You can put it over something really yummy just enough the ducklings eats it right down so your sure it is getting full dose. If you decide to use syringe just small amounts right inside the bill let it swallow then again till done.

I am from Australia lol I googled TSC and I have noticed this is an American site :) I will have a look at my local animal supplies place as I am sure they will have similar. Thank you for your advice:D

I hope you can find some. Of course there isn’t any guarantee the b complex will help but it’s sure worth trying it’s an inexpensive safe treatment.

I had a chat at my local pharmacy to find some liquid b complex and the pharmacy assistant is a student vet as well lol she gave me a dissolvable vitamin B12 and also said the good old Aussie vegemite spread is full of vitamin B and niacin and ducks love the taste apparently. I will try both alternating between each one but she did say they can’t consume to much and expel what they don’t need. She was admiring my dedication to this little duck :)

Hi sorry I have been off line with Christmas lol. My little ones legs haven’t improved as yet and I am finding with age her legs are getting harder to correct. I am thinking it is a growth deformity as the hips don’t seem to have a spot for the legs and her neck has an odd curve in it. I give her daily swimming time and then dry time in the sun. She enjoys a scratch on the sides of her beak as I guess she can’t reach lol. I find my little one gets stuck in the corner of her pen as she can’t go backwards but I check regularly and correct when needed. I’ll post todays swimming video and sun baking pic. Kimmyh51 did you have any recent pics of Millie? And how old would she be now? My little one is two weeks old.
Hi here are some pics of Mills I just took, sorry they are terrible quality as my iPad (my usual camera) has a cracked screen (anyone had a replacement screen for their ipad, iphone etc just crack for no reason?) and my actual camera has a flat battery and an AWOL memory card. So I took some photos on my very old iPod which has damage to the area over the camera lens so every photo taken with it is a little blurry.
first shows her typical leg position. and second is just her cute wee face lol.
would love to see photos and videos of your little one, please post or pm me some pics/videos/utube links etc. if your one does turn out to have the same condition as Mills, it would be the first duck Ive come across online that does, after spending a few hrs searching one evening, and discovering a few disabled ducks, but none with legs like Mills has

I gave Mills a lot of vegemite when she was younger, she used to love the taste and eat it off my finger. Have also found a good splodge of vegemite dissolved in warm water and given orally with a syringe sorted out a couple of ducks with niacin deficiency who had gotten symptoms on a yeast supplemented diet, and not responded to pure niacin powder (heavily)) supplemented feed. unfortunately when you have 100+ ducklings vegemite isnt affordable to give to them all as a preventative...

i should say, not all duucks love the taste. other ducklings have not liked it and had to be syringed it because they wouldnt eat it 'straight'. dunno whats wrong with them ducks, I love my vegemite.... as a kiwi I am probably supposed to love marmite, but its horrible...vegemite is the one!
