So I currently have 2 ducklings that I got at tractor supply about 3 weeks ago. One sadly formed bowed legs niacin deficiency. He's ok right now he's can still walk but it on his elbows I know it can really bad and cause pain So I'm probably going to put him down. Well I was going to get more duckling so the other one doesn't get lonely while it's growing up to be introduced to the big ducks. I can't find anymore ducklings. I also have a abonded kitten that we just found a day ago it's about a month old. I was wondering if I put lonely duck and the kitten together would they be friends and help each other out. I'm new to being a duck mom and I love it I hate to put the hurt one down but I want him to live a happy painless life. So if you guys can help me I'd appreciative it

a duckling and a kitten would be cute but i wouldnt do it, doest mean you cant tho

How old are the ducklings? What Have you been feeding them and have you been heating the brooder?

Bow legs can be treated with vitamins to an extent
Get some B complex vitamins like this at the farm store

Treat the ducklings with it and you may be surprised how it helps ducky legs

Yes start on the vitamin b complex right away and make sure your duck gets enough and maybe you can turn this around!

Ive seen a lot about B complex I'm going to try and find it soon. I'm not sure exactly how old they are other than I got them about 3 weeks ago from tractor supply they didn't say how old they were when I got them. At first I have them eating chick starter but when his legs started to get bad I switched to duck started that has niacin in it yes they are under heat and have a place to cool down if needed they were in a large tote but I moved them today to the broader ground cause they were getting to big for the tote they are fenced off from the roaster (I don't have any hens) they have their food and water and heat and woodshavings. also the kitten is in the broader too in their old tote
