Ducklings are Hatching!!!

Glad to hear all is going well so far.
Mine are growing like weeds. I'm seeing size differences between them but don't trust it yet to guess at sex. I am very curious to see what they will end up looking like.

Me too it's amazing how much they change for week to week, keep posting pics okay and thanks for advise. I feel better now that i put some water in there..

any updates?

Well I know theres at least 1 more duckling, found the shell but boy is she ruthless, I will have to make her get up in a bit, I have to know whats going on..

Well thats good news. Mine didn't start hatching until day 35 (35 days after the last egg was laid) so you may still have more. When mine left the nest I brought the 3 remaining eggs inside, just in case. I think one was fertile but had gotten kicked out with some of the shells and was VERY cold when I found it. The other 2 didn't look fertile.
Congrats again and don't forget more pics

I am confused though, How did she have 2 hatch on tues and wed and now hatching the rest? when she started sitting full time is when i started counting? never had this happen before[ scratches head]

I have heard of duck eggs incubating in a straw nest in the warmth. So my best guess is, the 1st 2 had a head start for whatever reason. Or the answer is like chickens ducks can't count

Your right stony they can't count!! so that is probably it, well i know that my bantam hen sat on the eggs for a few days before i moved her to her own size eggs, lol so maybe thats what happened, now i didn't candle because i am the worlds worse, but i did go pick up the other 4 eggs and look at them and listen no pips or peeping yet. But she had a little wet one still under her so it must have hatched sometime early this morn. I have put food and water inside the crate do you think the early birds will still be okay if she continues to sit? and I am hoping she will be the one to get up and leave when the time is right and I won't have to make her get up. i am just a little concerned about the oldest ones. They look fine but when i hear peeping it makes me worry.
