Looks like it... Makes sense how he would have got it there with the way he walks. My boys are just so big and twist their feet in when they walk. Must be a genetic problem...

So even if chickens eat kitty litter they won't get the same type? (This has actually happened before and that's when Amber was deathly small.)

So what would you recommend for the Safeguard dosages for just annual worming? (I can't take them to the vet all the time so I just need something that I can go by to prevent infestations.)

We just wormed all of our animals.

Surgery went well!! It took a while and it sure was a mess lol. Even when I thought I got it all there was still more pus hiding in there. But after 2 hours of digging, squeezing, and flushing with diluted betadine, I think I got it all. It was kinda hard to see with the blood and swollen tissue...
Now he's all wrapped up and in the garage. I'm mixing the amoxicillin capsules with a bit of water and giving it to him with a syringe (1 capsule 3 times a day like you said). And he's eating and drinking just fine.
