Ducks and Canada geese

Hi, my pond has attracted half a dozen Canada geese. My ducks seems to like them. They intermgle every morning and afternoon. The geese even seem to be on alert for the ducks. I guess this is high risk for the ducks bringing disease back to the flock? Which diseases?

not sure which others but for one the Avian Influenza which ducks and geese can carry it and most of them will not die but if they pass it to chickens I think they (the chickens) all die sadly

The H5N1 Avian Influenza is devastating wild bird populations all over the world. It's also jumping into mammals, equally deadly. Two human cases were recently confirmed in Cambodia, one death if I recall correctly.
