I've been a duck owner for about two and a half years now and from my own experience in hatching cross breeds, it didn't take me long to infer that the color black was a dominant gene and white a recessive gene. Is that right? I guess to put it plainly which colors are recessive and which are dominant, relating to duck genes/colors? Thanks in advance to all those ducky geniuses out there.

You got it :) Black is dominant, white is recessive. The article I wrote that Kathy linked to goes into more depth.
