Ducks - time to laying?

Are ducks like chickens as far as age when they start laying? I got a bunch of runner ducklings (and a few Welsh Harlequin) this week, so they are only about 4 days........when should I expect them to start laying? Will it not be until next spring or do they start any time of year, like chickens?

You shouldnt have to wait til next spring for eggs. Most of my ducks have generally started laying around the 22-24 week mark. Some were a little older depending on the season. I have runners hatched last year ( spring here in Australia ) that are now laying and have been for a number of weeks.
