Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
Yes, I have or have had, all of them. My favorite pet ducks have been Pekins and Anconas. Seramas are the only chickens I've had, so I have nothing to compare them to, but mine have all been very easy to tame and handle. Their small size makes them easy for kids to hold.
