Ducks with leg problems!

We are on a trip right now but we are coming back tomorrow, we should be back in the afternoon. If she hasn't shown any improvement we will schedule an appointment. I know she may never be a normal duck, but as long as she can live without pain and she is happy, she will be ok, and I would give her a great and loving life,
If you decide to go to the vet & figure out anything, keep me posted!! I will definitely do the same.

I haven’t had much change with my babies, so it might be time to check in with my vet. I’ve been told by local farmers that they expect it to be permanent & caused by something in the brooder. But I still would like to know if there is something I can do for their comfort. When I can get them in the pool without having to chase them (making them run unnecessarily) they get to swim. But they still don’t trust me enough to touch them. Hand feed sometimes, yes. But pick up, no.
I have another cute video uploading on Vimeo. Love the random things these little dudes do!! Like being scared of my shadow (not what the video is of, but still funny every time). I love that instinct!!!

Hi all! I have an update for you guys. Minnie Pearl is currently at the vet, she spent the night there. We are going to splint her leg and we have to go back every week for them to change it. They absolutely love her over there. They wrapped her up in a towel and walked her around, she wasn't complaining. They took x-rays, we could hear her quacking from like, 4 rooms away lol. Nothing is fractured. That is good and bad. they said they were loving on her afterwards, and she was snuggling with them, she really is such a sweetheart. We are hoping the treatment will help.

Awesome you have a vet who is willing to work with you to get Minnie Pearl walking again!!Please keep us updated on how she is doing.:hugs
I know! I really hope this helps her, we are doing everything for her, and it isn't cheap either. I will do! And please keep me updated on what's going on here. :)

This is awesome news!! Sounds very hopeful! Do you have any pictures or videos of what she was doing before? Would also love to see some pictures of the splint to run by my vet!! I’ve thought about something like that but my vet didn’t seem to think it was necessary to X-ray. I know he would do it if I asked. They are such wonderful people!!
As far as my boys go, sometimes I feel like I see improvements & sometimes I don’t. Every now & then I think one is a little worse. But then it looks a little better. It’s so hard to know what to do. I think I watch them Too much & now it’s hard to tell the differences, ya know?
