Deep breaths!! If it spikes like that, maybe you could just open the bator a teensy bit to let out some heat? I hate those LGs! So hard to adjust!
And peeping?!
Does that mean they'll hatch before Monday? When I did my first hatch (and only hatch so far), I heard peeping and within 24 hrs I had babies!
My first and second batch are set to go for this weekend. I'm in lockdown! I have some rock and roller's in there but no peeping! Temp is steady at 99.5 just can't check the humidity. Don't have any way to do so.

LOL, Thanks for the encouragement..it helps...and, I am already thinking of next time. I have done three hatches in the past but as projects with kids where the chicks went to farms. These ones are our first babies to live with us:yiipchick
For lockdown I think I am going to try the mesh shelf liner with egg cartons. I have cut the cartons way down so essentially they are just holders to keep the eggs from rolling about when/if thinkgs start happening. I was a little concerned that the cardboard might draw some of the humidity away from the chicks.
Tomorrow afternoon is lockdown.
49% seems low to me, the hatcher here is at 65% but our relative humidity is a bit high start with right now.
the hatch due 4/9 started early, 1 pip lastnight and hatched this afternoon another just hatched (both bantam cochins)
3 black Javas and 1 LF b/b/s Ameraucana pipped around 10PM tonight, one of the black Javas is already zipping.
