Dumb Question Here

There are no stupid questions here.

The answer is no. The poops actually get much larger as the birds grow and significantly bigger once they begin to lay.

We won't discuss a broody hens poo habits. :sick and

edited because auto correct keeps changing what I type into what I did NOT type!

There's no such thing as a dumb question. :old

In my experience they don't poop any less. 20 steps. Poop. Repeat. :lau It seems to me that big girl poop is less stinky than baby chick poop, but maybe that's just because they're outside & not locked down in the house anymore.

LOL :lau That was funny. "20 steps, poop, repeat".

Man, you aren't kidding. And as they get older, the poops get bigger. Geez..... They'll be 6 weeks old come Tuesday. 17 6 week old chicks pooping every 20 steps..... need I say more?:th

You're gonna need a bigger shoe brush! :lau Watching them all race toward me for snacks makes me laugh even on the worst days & it makes all the poop worthwhile. :wee

Ditto on the other posts. Mine are 8 weeks old and the poop quantity has multiplied. It seemed like the poop piles got bigger overnight. Lol

Oh yeah, duck poop is in a whole other league! That projectile liquid, squish that squirts 6" out the back of them makes chicken poop look like nothing.

Oh Heavens YES! We had 3 Call Ducks years ago and OMG! I'd clean their pool and in 2 hours it was as black as ever. And let's not mention the smell...:sick

Just think of all that poop as awesome fertilizer for your compost pile!!! My 6 week old little girls roosted for the first time last night with the big girls-that should make overnight poop clean up sooooo much easier!
