Not exactly the same thing, but I had a neighbor tell me my birds were out and taken by a hawk that morning. Said she seen it. I just locked them up (LITERALLY) and counted their heads. They were all there and so I told her. "must not be mine. ETA: btw... I still have that entire flock now 4 years later. According to her though... other neighbors report that she sees foxes and hawks taking my birds all the time and I don't care. lol. Nutcase!!! I lost one rooster out of 200 birds to a fox once... and guess what... she didn't even notice that one.
