Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat - Part 2 : Chicken Boogaloo.

I have tried, believe me. He isn't doing it because it is cheeper. It's way more expensive around here but he won't listen. He has it in his head that they are birds so bird seed is better than pellets. I understand that pellets aren't exactly a natural diet, but the breeds of chickens we have aren't exactly natural either. The need better nutrition to make as many eggs as they do.

Wow that sucks :/ well, people do mix their own food so maybe you can convince him to do that. Still get whole grains not pellets but designed for chickens

Well, what you've just described are acts of terrorism, if you assume their ultimate goal is to change laws ( terrorism - the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims)

Like Whale Wars ? Guess if you put ECO in front of a terrorist act it's all ok

Everytime I get a slightly 'odd' egg (wrong color, weird shape, very big or small, or weird surface texture) my city-raised husband says "incubate it and see what you get!"
I had to explain to my usually very smart hubby that an odd 'paint job' doesn't mean the DNA of the chick is any different.

And personally I think the whale wars people are idiots.

I say that in the nicest way possible lol I see why they do what they do and somewhat agree with the message - I do not think there is any need to hunt whales in this day and age and we should stop - but their tactics are stupid and even my dad called them an idiot the one time we watched them ha reason being we boat a lot and he just like does not follow any boating rules and does a lot of incredibly stupid and dangerous things. Of course he does that in general but still, completely irresponsible boat captain. And then there's the fact they junp on boats and steal their whales etc. Which could easily get them killed or arrested. There are much better ways to stop whale killing and that is not one of them aha and not to mention, it clearly doesn't actually do anything. They still whale. They just find alternate ways to avoid him. It hasn't changed anything. All he does is drive around wasting gas and risk getting killed

Look I get not being intentionally cruel animals (or anybody ) and yes their are people who shouldn't have kids much less pets or livestock ! However EXTREME RADICAL organizations such as PETA and HSUS ( who BTY passively promote ECO terrorist ) have views so far out of the mainstream i can't for the life of me understand how they stay in business

My wife is Vegan ( her choice ) has zero problems cooking me up a steak or deer meat or wild turkey ... she does not preach to other about the evils of meat but will is happy to discuss why she does what she does with anyone who is truly interested in the subject and not on a crusade to change her or the rest of the world either way !

IMHO well intentioned people cause more harm and unintended animal suffering then blatant jerks who think it's cool to ste a cat on fire for a Youtube video

I am a nice person I see people that don't eat meat as people that choose to not do it but I don't ridicule them as I ask them not to ridicule me. To each his or her own. It's when they try to force their way of thinking on me! I was raised on a farm and learned that slaughtering livestock is a way of life. I love my veggies ( well some ) but still want my dead animal laying on my plate!!

And sorry my post about the whales got so long and confusing but I was basically agreeing with you there too that they (whale wars people) are terrorists too and i was saying that they are idiots and do incredibly dangerous things.

That is great your wife is so understanding! I wish more vegans were like that. I do know a lot wouldn't prepare it/touch it like she does, which I can understand, but if more would even just respect and understand others views everything would be a lot better

I agree.

I hate when people get sooo nasty about it and say you're a murderer or act like you're the worst person ever. Ummmm... no. I can understand them having a moral issue with it but don't bully and harass others. Besides what about actual murderers or pedophiles? Pretty sure those are way worse human beings than people who eat meat
