I feed my girls onion scraps all the time, no change I can tell, however, I don't feed them just onions....

Too much fish meal will make the eggs taste fishy.

Mine love the tops of green onions, won't touch an orange and give me the stink eye in the morning if breakfast is not warmed. Not sure if it is just me but I never notice a difference in the taste of the eggs by what they eat. When we started 2 years ago I did not think I was buying pets I thought they were egg vending machines that had to be fed well. I love my girls whether they lay or not.

I started out that I just wanted girls for eggs, I have no roo's. Now I'm so dang attached its crazy! Mine aren't laying yet but I so enjoy sitting n watching them w are the diff personalities and I must admit.... They r a bit spoiled. Lol

My aunt said that when she visited my cousin when he was stationed in England that they couldn't eat the eggs on the local economy because the chickens were fed a lot of fish meal. Of course those who were raised on those eggs were used to it.

I started out that I just wanted girls for eggs, I have no roo's. Now I'm so dang attached its crazy! Mine aren't laying yet but I so enjoy sitting n watching them w are the diff personalities and I must admit.... They r a bit spoiled. Lol

I like to toss out a couple of plum tomatoes and what them have a game of "foodball" they do look like football players chasing other around the yard. They are special.

Someone once tried to tell me that BYC wasn't the best chicken site on the web...crazy!

If there is one better I want to know about it, I think it's better than most other "social websites" I have accounts with a few others, only use one on a regular basis because I want to keep in touch with people whom I know outside of "chickendom" otherwise I wouldn't be there.....

when i went to my boyfriends godmothers house she was talking about chickens and asked if i had ever seen a NN and i said
that i have and that my neighbor has one. well she started talking about them and she was like"they have a pouch and store
food in there like a kangaroo" and she was serious when she said it. haha i wanted to laugh, but of course i didnt do that she is to
sweet of a lady to do that and i couldn't come to tell her that she was wrong because i would just feel bad saying that you are wrong.
