I'm 30 years old and have been a vegan since 17... I'm also a nutritionist and personal chef and organic farmer. I'm not the one you need to lecture on the diet of 'early homosapeins" and you should really check out the true reasons to be vegan- or at least eat mainly a vegan diet. virtually no heart disease, cancers, or diabetes for vegans, also has been shown many time to reverse all three. My neighbor has grass fed beef and i truly respect his old fashioned way of rearing them, on grass in wide open land! That is truly a rarity though. Factory farms are singlehandedly destroying all of the fresh water on the planet, flooding our rivers with disease ridden manure from feeding the cows an unnatural diet of non-grass items and medicines and growth hormones. I'm not even going to get into the problems with the GMOs they are fed. Alright no need to respond, I've got the jist of this place, and it's just not for me!
to continue the thread though,
the dumbest thing I've heard is an Amish woman say she's never heard of anyone keeping a chicken as a pet. And she had very numerous chickens caged up on their farm with a crowded factory farm looking setup. How can a chicken owner not have at least one pet chicken! they are truly a commidity, eh? That's quite sad.
