This one had me laughing out loud!
Me too! Good thing I wasn't drinking anything at that moment. Then I had to run it through the translator so my wife could laugh too. She did.

This isn't something dumb necessarily, but it's darn cute!
When my dad was little he walked up to his mom and asked, "Mom, what happens when a chicken does this hee-hee-hoo-hoo" (huffing and puffing)
She said, "I don't know, what?"
He replied, "AN EGG POPS OUT OF ITS BUTT!"

I loved hearing that story, it makes me feel like I really know my dad. He hates it lol.

I love this! It reminds me of a day when my daughter's 4-H poultry club had an exhibit at a local farmer's market. [please forgive me if this is a repeat -- I can't remember what I've shared on this looooong thread). We had cages set up with different aged chickens, including some chicks. People had lots of questions -- some of the classics here (especially "don't you need a rooster to get eggs" etc.). But some of the little kids who came over were just amazed by them.

One little girl (probably around 3 years old) was watching our hens when the RIR laid an egg on the grass. She was amazed! When her dad turned around, she said very excitedly "Daddy, the chicken did THIS [she squatted down] and made an egg!" It was just so cute.

kids are so great! lol

I'm afraid I buy my dried macaroni to make it (mac cheese) as to make fresh pasta is time consuming
It is, and I have no idea how to make macaroni noodles, but fresh noodles made with duck egg are good enough not to add the cheese.

Then there's my BIL who really likes my eggs but was having difficulty peeling his hard boiled ones. I brought him my oldest eggs and told him to wait a week.

He figured he was just doing it wrong.
