I had to give my younger relatives and their parents some schooling about animals that lay eggs....AFTER they took a trip to the ed. farm.


Lady (I'm really not sure how she was related to me.....): What animal lays eggs?
little kids: CHICKENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lady: That's right!
Me: Do any of you know what OTHER animals lay eggs?
little kids: Ummmm, CHICKENS!
Me: Do ducks lay eggs?
little kids: NOOO!
Me: Yes they do, just like chickens!
Lady: Don't tell them that!!! Ducks DO NOT lay eggs!!!!!!!!
Me: Umm, where do you think ducklings come from?
Lady: I don't know. I guess the ducks give birth.
