I do all of those things listed except have someone else clean up the coop. I’m the one who decided to have them, so I take precautions...and, when we do the big clean outs, my hubby gladly..lol..jumps in. If I were that allergic, I would have to stop, but luckily, it’s not like that. The hay is much worse for me in the barn..I actually passed out this fall and knocked my front tooth loose. Plus had to get my lip stitched. That’s when I went to the dr and got on nasal spray and allergy med. sometimes I’ll take a cough syrup on a bad day. But, it’s not been near that bad...thank heavens, because, I’m not giving up my farming!!I am allergic for some things too (trees) And food intolerant for some things.
Everyone who has problems like that should take anti-histamine tablets. This is not just to lower the symptoms, but also to prevents that its getting worse.

I would ask someone else to clean the coop or stop having chickens if allergic to them.
