Really wasnt sure where to post this. I have a large black plastic container with a mix of food grade DE,plain clay cat litter and play sand for their dust bath. They never saw one before so a bit confused. Laid their eggs in it for awhile pooped a few times too. I had a large extra cat litter scoop and it works great for keeping it clean. They're now getting the hang of it.

Once chickens see another do something, then they all try.

Where do you buy the DE?

Bought the DE from the local farm store. Now I need sand ànd kitty litter. Any idea of the ratio of the ingredients for their winter dust bathing

Mixed up some sand, DE, and wood ash. Put it in a shallow Tupper ware type container, works great.
