I have a 8 week old RIR pullet. She is standing in a eggbound like position with eyes closed. She keeps eating a ton of food yet her crop won't fill. She is breathing deeply, but she always has really. I think she may have some issue before this. Had brother just died yesterday :hit.

I put them with the big chickens a week or so ago. The dead chicken and this one feel very skinny. The other two siblings feel fine.

Thank you

At that age, with multiple deaths and the fact that they recently joined the older flock my first suspicion would be coccidiosis and I'd treat for it asap with a round of Corid. There may well be other things going on but you need to rule out that problem first since it kills so quickly.

She is standing tall like a penguin right now.

She's eating DuMOR chick grower. She drank earlier when I gave water.

Wouldn't the other chickens show signs of cocci?

Standing like a penguin is not coccidia. It sounds more like ascites, since an 8 week old pullet could not be egg bound. What does her abdomen feel like.
