Early February 2016 Hatch - Who's In?

Oh my Gosh ... since I set the eggs at 6am then that should count as day one - so going with that theory.. day 7 should be Wednesday - which is tomorrow! Chicken math of a different sort

I candled all 9 of my eggs today (day 8) and all looked dark so I think they're all fertile cuz there were no clear eggs. That's good. But I was expecting to see veins...
By what day do you all see blood vessels and stuff? I didn't see a dark eye spot either. Frustrating

My incubator has the eggs on their side and rolls them slowly, so the air sac looks different than the tradition pictures of candled eggs at 6-8 days.

Anyone has an incubator where the eggs are on their side?

I don't think that was me. I don't think I changed the temp for hatch last time. I will have to look at my notes - I did up the humidity for sure. There may be different recommendations for still air vs forced air hatch temps.

My turner has them big end up so I'm not familiar with that type of turner. What color egg shells do you have? I have a rally hard time telling on my Ameraucanas, OE, or BCM because they are so dark. I personally go with the philosophy that if I can't tell 100% and they are not smelly then I keep them in. I've done the other before and their were live babies in them. :hit
