Early February 2016 Hatch - Who's In?

Everybody is candling!!  You're killing me!!    Since my eggs were shipped and were in rough shape, I'm trying so hard to NOT candle them.  :lau

I have a high demand incubator (styrobator) so I have to check frequently the air cell growth which means candling. I tried weighing eggs this round. My data was saying they were good but the air cells were saying they were on day 5 when they should have been more day 10. Once I get the hang of what the best means is I won't have to babysit it as much!

I candled tonight but it was time for one set to be candled. I set 6 of my mixed eggs on the 12th so it's day 15 for this set. I wanted to weigh each to make sure I was in on track. After scratching my head on the algorithm I figured it out and it looks like I am on track for weight loss. All the air cells looked good and 6/6 were viable. Lots of movement and darkness. Thank goodness for my Brinsea. I have been keeping my humidity at 30%-35%. I have it set for 40% but it seems to struggle to get that high. I'm hatching these 6 out in my Yoosoo (also called a Janoel-10). Practicing holding my humidity with that for the next 3 days.

It's day 10 and we just candled the eggs. Out of 11 BCM eggs, we have nine that are developing really well. Four of the eight Ameraucanas were fertile and are developing. It's hard to tell on the olive Eggers, but I think we have eight out of 10. I pulled the eggs that showed no development, and left the ones I wasn't sure about. I'm pretty sure one of them had a blood ring. I've been keeping my humidity between 45 and 50. The little ones were really active tonight, my son thought it was amazing!

I haven't been keeping track of the air cells how will I know if there normal? I'll candle one tonight and post a pic see if y'all can tell.

I just use the candling 101 guide drawing on BYC to see if I'm close. You can google it too and egg incubation air cell charts will pop up everywhere to give you an idea on what day you are on and if it looks about right.

Today is day 14 starting the day I put them in so would that actually make it 13? Here's pics of the size of air cells do they look normal?
