Again, people, this is a tritium release of trace amounts that occur naturally in water, and it is not like what people are making it out to be.
It is normal to distribute iodine pills and it calms a lot of nerves, it's the right thing to do. There is NO indication of any major leak, core breach or anything that would cause widespread danger.
I'm no nuclear power fan but please let's not spread panic and cause mass hysteria - this is not good for the people working at the plant, you can be sure of that, everything is designed to keep them away from any gunk but they do what they have to do.
Those guys are the real heroes- they are holding the line.
That RAD - stuff - RAD is a basically obsolete measurement and it is VERY unlikely that ANYONE telling you ANYTHING about 'RADS' has a single clue about what has happened in Japan. RADS is units of radiation absorbed so it isn't even a measurement a CLOUD CAN HAVE.
That 'nuclear fallout map' that's going around the internet, originated from - let us call it a non-involved party. Somebody on a forum, in other words, just drew that thing up and started sending it to different forums.
