Thanks to the advice of all you fine folks here on BYC I was able to slowly intergrated my two seperate flocks of 3 today without much incidence. This past Sunday I allowed the "Westside" girls (Coco, Lucy, and Ethel) to wander over to the "Eastside" of the garden where Henrietta, Honey and Goldie have been living in quarantine since December......Here are a few pictures of the ladies first meeting.
Here are Henrietta and Goldie:
Hmmmm....What's this:
Henrietta and Coco were sooooooo funny. It was like they were looking into a mirror.
Today I decided it was time to let both camps come face to face without any fencing between them, there were a few minor squabbles but nothing major.
I let the newbies out first and just let them wander around for a bit....
Poor Ethel came around the corner and was met with some well placed pecks.
Here is Goldie just waiting for her sisters to appear
Finally both groups are in the same area
I'm really pleased with how things are going.
I'm going to keep them in their seperate areas until this spring when I attempt to build a large walk in run.
