Sorry, I'm no help with muscovies. I have heard (and agree) that ducks are more in tune to day lengths than chickens because they haven't been selected to lay year round like chickens. They have more "natural" reproductive cycles. Good luck.

That is kinda cool. Same person!

Do you have any pictures? Still trying to figure out who is what mix. They are starting to get wing feathers now so hope I can get an idea soon.

Started 30 more eggs last week. Almost got 30 more to set this week.

mystry: Our younger muscovy hens are also under a year old and just started laying last week. Muscovy ducks usually begin laying between 6-7 months old. They seem to enjoy laying in random places though so it's a treasure hunt sometimes! ;)

Hello,
We are looking for an outside ready chick or hen by Easter. We will pick up. We have a wonderful family that we normally get hens from but they are limited right now.
Please help! This will be my sons hen, he is super excited and I don't want to let him down. Please send pictures and color of the egg she will lay. This helps my son pick out his favorite. [email protected] or text 6052159820

Thanks to everyone in advance
Angela

Have to love these 50mph winds... Only a few brave birds have ventured out this morning. We've lost a few branches but no other damage so far. Hoping my shingles hold up

Wow we only had 30 mph winds, the birds looked mad, but were still out and about.

Does anyone on here know if anyone is interested in a 2014 LF black cochin rooster? I am looking to sell him for $40 obo, I think he'd probably do pretty well showing. I am only trying to sell him because I cull really hard for aggressive breeders, meaning he'll run after the girls to breed them. Most people think this is a good thing, but I prefer the sweet talking roosters. He doesn't show any aggression with the other males, dogs, people or different types of fowl. He's all black (looks a little blue or grey in this picture), with a really nice green sheen. He can breed naturally, this is his first season, but I have a bunch of fertile eggs in the incubator from him.

I dont know exactly what our sustained winds were but the news said gusts of 50 mph. Was another dry windy day today. Hope we get some moisture soon or the growing season will be over before it started.

Sorry @jessicaagross I have no need for a rooster but he is gorgeous.
