Easter Egger 8 Weeks Pullet or Cockerel?

Eight week old Easter Egger, pullet or cockerel? I know the coloring suggests rooster, but she/he has no red, nor triple pea comb. She/he is at the bottom of the pecking order. Feathers are rounded, not pointed. I have looked at hundreds of photos looking for anything that looks similar, and I haven't found any bird with a black head, then the white and black, then the reddish brown on the body. What are your thoughts?

I'd say it's too young to tell for sure, since EEs take a while to develop obvious gender characteristics. I would be leaning towards cockerel, though - ain't never seen a pullet colored like that, though I agree the comb is still quite small. However the shape of the body and the way it holds itself is certainly giving me as much of a cockerel vibe as the coloration.

Hi and welcome to BYC. I agree with QM that the posture alone in one of the pics looks more cockerel-like than pullet. You may wish to post pics again in a few weeks on this forum - What Breed or Gender is This?

I'm pretty sure it's a pullet too. The coloring is unusual, but there is no 'rooster' red on the bird in question, and that comb is tiny and pale.
