That sounds right. I figured they were a production layer, was I right?
here'"Sunrise" , the 2nd of 2 EE chicks hatched 2 days ago :
"born" right around sunrise on 03/19/2014
She was one of the first 5 that got me started in chicken herding. She was my best layer, about every 24 hours. She caught something or something happened to her and she died last month. She was the only girl to give me dbl yokers..
One of our Easter Egger pullets from Cackle. I love the coloring so far on her.
Well this one already had feathers and now it's decided to grow the comb..
What did she look like as a chick?
I don't know...she's in there somewhere...lol My guess would be the dark one in the middle on the top left that you can barely see her. She's been kind of ugly up until this point and if she wasn't rumples I might not have kept her.
I was wondering because I have a EE chick who is black with like a rust color coming in.. Yours is absolutely goergous, I hope she turns out like her
That is a beautiful chicken!
I got one this year from Cackle that sounds just like yours. It was a dark brown/black color with like a rust color on it's head when it was a chick. I am pretty sure it is a roo now. He's a month and 4 days old today.
