She was one of the first 5 that got me started in chicken herding. She was my best layer, about every 24 hours. She caught something or something happened to her and she died last month. She was the only girl to give me dbl yokers..That sounds right. I figured they were a production layer, was I right?
Well this one already had feathers and now it's decided to grow the comb..OH. At 6.5 weeks, wait and see. Seems like my boys always have 3 rows and red up before they have feathers. The girls take forever and are ready to lay (except for 1 wyandotte that worried me until she laid an egg )![]()
What did she look like as a chick?
I was wondering because I have a EE chick who is black with like a rust color coming in.. Yours is absolutely goergous, I hope she turns out like her
That is a beautiful chicken!
I got one this year from Cackle that sounds just like yours. It was a dark brown/black color with like a rust color on it's head when it was a chick. I am pretty sure it is a roo now. He's a month and 4 days old today.I was wondering because I have a EE chick who is black with like a rust color coming in.. Yours is absolutely goergous, I hope she turns out like her
