Sigh....I had the three EE pullets from the feed store. They weren't here long before Helga became Julio. Now this morning one of the two remaining pullets has a distinct pink color on HER comb...at.7 weeks. At this rate I will never get more colored eggs. I love Julio and had already planned to keep him..but I can't keep another one.....that would make four roosters.

Cooper is a 3 year old shelter rescue Portuguese Water Dog, the shelter misidentified his breed as a poodle/shiz-zu mix, we did some research a d are pretty sure he's a portie

As any shelter rescue, he has a couple minor issues were working with, and a bit of seperation anxiety, and babies and toddlers totally terrify him (I'm no fan either, I choose to see him as intelligent and discerning there), original family had a toddler that wouldn't leave him alone and constantly tormented him (any time the whiny brat on The Walking Dead starts her horrid crying he leaves the room in terror, the moans of the walkers and gunfire and other loud noises don't bother him, but a caterwauling brat? That's scary!

Tonight, as I was changing the chicks water and food, I found that Cooper was actually blocking the open crate door and gently nudging any chick that tried to escape back into the crate with his nose, he was actually "herding" them :)

My 5week old ee cockerel that was given to me as a "pretty sure its a pullet haha" and the little ones the two grey chicks both have the green slate leg with peacombs and are feathering in a cuckoo pattern! Heres to hoping. The chipmunk chick has green legs but single comb and bearded coming out cuckoo as well. Other guys are marans.
