Chicks a coworker hatched from my eggs. EES and EE mixes. Can tell there is a cochin mix in there too. Have had two good hatches by others this year and one more soon to start. I plan to have hatches here next year so I can have grand chickens here. Yes I said grand chickens, lololol

What has worked for mine (all of them so far) is getting one on one time with them. I take the one I want to tame out of the flock for an hour or so and let her hang out with me inside, or just out of sight from the others. I sit on the floor with food sprinkled around me. Once she's done complaining she settles down and starts pecking at the food. Then I talk softly to her or make chicken noises at her. Lol It looks like yours might be at that awkward stage were they get nervous of everything. They seem to outgrow it. The best thing I found so far though is getting them out of sight of the rest of the flock. If they can see everybody else that is all they're going to think about. I have done this with all of my flightiest birds and it works amazing every time. In fact my favorite EE (named hoot) we almost got rid of her because she was so stressed out of everything all the time. She is the biggest cuddler now. In fact she is the first one to run up to us which shows the other ones that we are not that bad. I have posted a lot of pictures of Hoot but I think this calls for another one!

Thank you so much I am defiantly going to that

They are so gorgeous! I want one like yours!
Thanks,(like I have anything to do with it)...They are pretty, and spastic. They may never get to free range in the yard because they are so skittish and have no favorite treats to bribe them with. I am hoping they lay pretty eggs to make it worth having the little buggars lol.
