hi everybody. does any body know how to keep a chicks card bord box dry?. this year I am going to Try to use a tote and see. and also does ANYBODY know HOW to keep the chicks water clean?. It gets full of wood chips. if anybody knows pleas tell me.:fl
for our chicks we had them in a plastic tote and put the feed and water containers on bricks. It didn't keep the bedding out altogether, but kept a lot out. They sure can kick up a mess when scratching around.

Cluckcluck always sad to lose a hen and I have a few breeds that also stick together all the time which makes it even harder.

I also like the idea of a kids tent for inside the house about 40" square as it keeps the dust down and you can purchase on on ebay for about $20. I used a larger tent when some of the chicks got bigger and I could no longer keep them inside the house but it was too cold outside. With a small radiator the temperature was perfect and the heat stays inside.

EE chicks come in so many fluffy downy colors that you don't quite know what they will look like as adults.  Do you happen to have a photo of Yzma as a chick?

I got Yzma at like 38 weeks old from my daughter. I am trying to get a pic of her for u but she is 7 mo prego and two boys also (3 & 1) so it might take her a sec.
