The ones I just posted were all identical except for how puffy there faces were for almost two weeks, and now they are all different. Three others not pictured.

Sorry I was posting on your yellow chick. I had a bantam EE chick that looked like that. Just watch how it changes as it feathers out. Most turn colors and look nothing like they did as chicks.

Our friend homeschooled all 5 of their children over a span of ages within 20 years -- so there were times when some were too young to homeschool.  They belonged to a homeschool academy where the mothers exchanged classrooms and the kids got socialized at the same time with other homeschoolers and had farm outings, beach tidepool trips, etc, but on a much smaller intimate scale of students.  Most were taking local college classes by age 15.  Homeschool will have better learning skills and at a pace that doesn't hold them back like slow public school classes.

I want to make sure that my children get the best education possible but still have it be fun. I feel like most parents I think that no one can do a better job than mom and dad! Would love to get ideas on different things she did though little techniques if she wouldn't mind sharing?!

That's great! I was homeschooled my junior & senior year and loved being able to do things at my pace and was finished far earlier in the year than friends that were in public and private schools! I want to make sure that my children get the best education possible but still have it be fun. I feel like most parents I think that no one can do a better job than mom and dad! My daughter had been enrolled in private school since kindergarten. However, she homeschooled herself her senior year because an encephalitic coma (caused by the same virus as the chicken pox and shingles diseases) set her back a few weeks. She entered a public charter out-of-class program where she checked in with an instructor twice a week to get her assignments, homework, and took her exams just so she could get her high school certificate of completion . Of course, before this she already had been in college classes since she was 15 so it was easy-peasy for her to do the charter classes. Her private high school was a real *!#!^!!! about allowing her to join her final senior classmates in the graduation ceremony but since she was already in college classes it was a moot point. Hey, private schools (even the religious ones) can be just as political and close-mouthed about what goes on in their administrations as the public school cover-ups. Homeschooling is the ultimate best way to go and there is better socializations and lasting friendships created - families form bonds that last a lifetime. My friend joined a homeschool academy in her area/district. The subjects covered in homeschooling have to be state-approved in our state. The mothers/families that had skills in the state-approved subjects/textbooks used through the academy would sign up to teach small groups of students that would gather to learn these particular subjects. A parent would study the textbooks and sign up for the academy classes they felt qualified to instruct and gathered the students in homes or churches depending on the number of students studying the particular subject. Sometimes the ages of students were different depending on their attention span or level of learning/understanding. They had aquarium trips, tidepool trips, furniture and industrial manufacturer trips, dairy, poultry, and agricultural farm trips, zoos, science, space, art, and historical museum trips, nature or recreational hikes/camping, even amusement park trips, etc. Each trip was used as fun background for the particular subjects the students would be studying - oceanography, philosophy, agriculture and husbandry, mechanics, science, advanced math, etc. Outside of these background trips, individual parents would teach their children English, math, and reading skills, foreign language, check on their homework, assist with understanding text assignments, or add their own extended subject matter like car mechanics for the boys and cooking or sewing/crafts for the girls. Every talent is explored with homeschoolers that crowded public school no longer employs in their curriculum. Public school teachers really want to teach but they are so indoctrinated with political administrations and confined curriculum or crowded classrooms their hands are tied from teaching their best. My homeschool friend always had some kind of animal (including chickens, i.e. EEs and various heritage breeds), fish aquariums, insect cages, or reptile aquariums, to teach her children about responsible animal ownership and respect for nature with their own private gardens for planting their favourite vegetation. Her children have always been the most intelligent respectful citizens I have ever encountered - outside my own kids. It has been a joy to know them over these past 20 years.
