Easter Egger club!

My DH has a high IQ but as a kid had speech impediment and G.A.D. also.  In public school he was put through the mill with CAT Scans, psychiatrists, and all sorts of medical tests.  Know what they found?  They diagnosed childhood onset arthritis after all that testing!  Unfortunately GAD (anxiety) progresses exponentially into adulthood and is something that has to be learned to manage.  Drugs stupified his ability to function and the doctor wanted to keep increasing the doses yet did nothing to stop anxiety.  Screw that!  DH stopped the drugs and took the holistic route to slow his anxiety issues but it will be a lifelong job to keep on top of it.  Our friend uses Yoga, anxiety mgmt classes, Eastern philosophy, and martial arts to calm his GAD issues.  The potent drugs the medical profession prescribes for GAD issues just don't help an individual function normally on the job or day-to-day living.  Another friend was diagnosed Schyzophrenic and definitely HAS to take drugs to manage his severe issues.  Behavior modification exercises help GAD, ADHD, or any of the issues under the BiPolar umbrella but it is a lifelong commitment to manage.  Decades ago these were reflected as parental mis-management behaviors and teachers were at a loss to understand the syndromes and blamed parents and the child.  Homeschool parents are much more disciplined to enforce the necessary behavior modifications routinely to help their child through life and to understand the issue they will most likely face in adulthood.  Our homeschool friend had an Aspergers syndrome child yet his IQ is through the roof and has a photographic memory.  At the Mayo Clinic they found dietary modifications extremely effective in managing BiPolar behaviors and Autistic syndromes.  Some gluten grains, simple carbs, sugars, and many other foods were found to exacerbate behavior.  Interesting documentary that I'm at a loss to remember now.  I bet chicken eggs and homegrown garden vegetables are a must for a good diet for any of us!  I was allergy tested decades ago and found that I was allergic to citrus, milk, many pit fruits, gluten grains, beef, chicken meat but NOT the eggs!  Turkey, lamb, goose, and duck was ok too.  Chicken meat decades ago was probably injected with growth hormones and antibiotics so I'm not surprised it caused allergies.  Meat chickens are raised/fed differently from egg-laying chickens. GL w/your little ones and homeschooling!
wow someone else with a chicken allergy!! Same as you, can't have the meat but cam have the eggs. I also homeschool the twins who have autism. He has the same photographic memory as your friends son. It's amazing. Is that all you have right now-Cornish meat birds?

OK so my beautiful chica, the one in my avatar, Crowed eight times this morning. Everyone keep saying it's a female but I can't keep her regardless if it's a boy or girl because she's making too much noise. If anyone around Jacksonville wants her. We can work out a deal but I got to get rid of her quickly
