Hurricane Matthew put a dent in my girls' egg production for a short period. They didn't lay a single egg for a week, but then gradually increased until they reached pre-hurricane numbers. Stress will do a number on egg production.

Well, the good thing is, that my seven other hens are laying great, so I'm only missing about an egg a day. Still I like have blue eggs in the carton

I have 4 EE. My mom bought them from the local feed store and they were of course being sold as "americanas" or whatever that fake breed is. We don't care what they are, they are so sweet and cute. Hopefully they will lay a colored egg for us.

My girl Fluffy some how got into the run with my larger hens and they did a number on beating her up. The below is a old picture when she still had all her feathers.
