so I was just hoping for some more pics of EEs....come on, who thinks EEs are the best??? I do! They are so colorful and pretty, and you just cannot beat those muffed faces
I missed this thread, I have 2 EEs in my little backyard flock. I love all 5 of mine but the EEs are just somthing special. I'll get pictures later today.
I have a lovely girl named Tilly. Still awaiting eggs from this late bloomer! She's a sweety though. Does anyone else have an EE with WHITE earlobes? Will I get white eggs? That would be a bummer. We love her though.
Here we go. I have 10 EE which I purchased at my local feed store March 15 of this year. I am undecided if I have a rooster in the flock, some times I think yes some times no. No crowing yet but time will tell. I am looking forward to blue/green eggs some time in October or November.
I had purchased some welsummer chicks and was going to have a colorful egg basket but my neighbor's dog broke in all killed all of them, luckly I had the EE's in a different pen or the brutes would have cleaned me out.no names . I have 22 hens so to many to name.
This is Reba... she was a rescue. You can see in the picture that someone had her beak clipped. I think its cruel, but it regenerated a little bit and she can eat fine. And she is the only EE in my flock- and everyday I go to pick eggs there is always one blue egg. She is definatly one of my best layers!!!
