Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

OK I have to join in! I am thinking these two are pullets. I think they are around 8-10 weeks old. What does everyone else think?
lovely little ladies! The second one looks just like my fighty.

looks like a pullet to me.
If you are referencing Andromeda, yes she's a girl. She lays blue eggs that average a couple of grams below USDA Large.

I am feeling rather ridiculous right now. LOL

Don't sweat it. All of us noobs about drove ourselves crazy with our first "Gee I hope it's a pullet!!!!" chicks.
- I asked about the Black Australorps because one was growing faster than the other and her yellow comb was a bit bigger. She is now the biggest bird in the flock and dropped a 90 gram egg Tuesday. For reference, Jumbo starts at 72 grams and the sizes go up in steps of 7 grams. Thus the egg is nearly a XXXJumbo.
- I asked about the Cubalayas because they weren't the same color (turns out a Blue Red chick can come out a splash/pyle red)
- I asked about the Anconas because one was getting a big comb before the other. In the end the second one just matured a bit later and has a comb 25% bigger than the first.
I don't remember if I asked about the other 3 breeds. All I know is I was going nuts because no roosters allowed at our place and ANY little difference between two birds of the same breed triggered anxiety.
When all was said and done, Ideal had sexed them 100%.

Girls. Keep us posted with the "and NOW the color/pattern is" pictures :)

My GUESS is the first one won't change much (and she is a beauty) but the second one, she'll be the interesting one to watch.

Thanks Bruce...I am right there with quite a few of my chicks. I've got 6 Polish that are the same ages as Maybelene and Ivy and they are even more difficult because from what I understand here on BYC, they sometimes don't show their sex for a very long time. I also ordered 10 chicks from Ideal. They are all supposed to be pullets and now at 3 weeks old I am starting to see subtle differenced in like breeds and being a bit obsessive about my scrutiny of them. I stare at them multiple times a day wondering if Ideal got it right. LOL I sure so love all of them though. I just moved to a new town, have no friends here yet and my husband is working 10-14 hour days six days a week. They have been very good company for me!

I know this isn't the Polish thread, but we had a really hard time sexing ours last year too. I was a 100% sure he was a pullet until my Aunt said something to me. She is experienced with chickens and was having a hard time sexing the bird. EE's and Polish have been the 2 most difficult breeds for me to sex! Here are some pictures of our once "Willow" now "Willis."

This is what he looks like now.

Wow, Willis looks like an entirely different bird! Is this an example of a Hippy-head?

I like that he can see. Most of the other Polish I've seen look like they're practically blind. Does anyone have a Polish EE?

I have several. I can't post one right now, becauset he computer that I'm on has a messed up browser, and I don't know of any other way to post them. I'm currently trying to breed these. I'm not having too much luck on getting pullets though, most are turning out to be boys. I have some that are 15 weeks yesterday. In another 3 weeks I'll be puttingthe only pullet from this hatch into a breeding pen.
